I first started selling on eBay years ago but eventually found and fell in love with Etsy. I LOVE to shop at garage sales, thrift stores, and antique stores but since I cannot possibly keep everything I find (unless I wanted to appear on an episode of hoarders!) I decided it would be fun to open up a shop and offer what I ove to others who may love it as well.

Much of what you will find in my shop will take you back to your childhood or remind you of a special loved one as you squeal out in delight "Oh! I used to have one of those!" or "My grandma had that!". Or, If you are a quiet person you may just squeal these thoughts silently in your head! :o) No matter how you reminisce you will find all kinds of treasures to help you do that here at The Vintage Dresser!

You may wonder where the name of my shop originated. It isn't just something I dreamed up, there actually is a vintage dresser than inspired it. When I was pregnant with my daughter Tania, I purchased an unfinished dresser for the nursery and painted it light green and antiqued it. That dresser has served us well. It went from Tania's nursery to her bedroom as she grew up. When she married and had a home and daughter of her own, the dresser went to live with them. Through all of Tania's various moves, the dresser tagged along. She's used it in her daughter's nursery and later in her daughter's bedroom as she grew up. After granddaughter, Sydney, was finished with it, Tania reclaimed it to use it for storage in her craft room and it now resides in her bedroom, finally painted a different color. So, as you can see, The Vintage Dresser has special meaning for me and my family!

Over the years I've sold my wares in many and varied craft shows, bazaars, consignment shops, gift shops, and on-line. But now that I've found Etsy, I feel I'm at home. Whether I'm creating hand painted and hand crafted items, or scouring the countryside for retro and vintage goodies, I love filling my shops with treasure for my customers to discover!
